"Mr. Brightside" 是殺手樂團的首支單曲，收錄於他們的首張錄音室專輯 Hot Fuss，這首歌由樂團成員 Brandon Flowers 和 Dave Keuning 創作，是殺手樂團最早創作的歌曲之一。

這首歌發行於 2003 年，是英國有史以來下載次數最多的十五首搖滾曲目之一，甚至位居英國百大單曲排行榜長達7年多，還被英國廣播電台
Absolute Radio 和 XFM 評為十年最佳歌曲 (Song of the Decade)。

雖然 The Killers 是美國樂團，但是英國人喜愛這首歌的程度好像還高於美國人。我第一次聽到這首歌是在看《真愛每一天》(About Time) 的時候，雖然只有出現在裡面一下下，但是可以感受到 2000 年初時，英國人對於這首歌的喜愛程度(最後有放上他們 2019 年在 Glastonbury 音樂節的表演，底下網友的留言超好笑: "The greatest British band
that isn't British"，英國人真的超愛這首歌)

這首歌描寫主唱 Brandon Flowers 的真實經歷，他曾經目睹自己的交往對象出軌，雖然經歷這種事對大家來說都會是一輩子無法抹滅的創傷，但是 Brandon 化悲憤為力量 XD，創作出這首膾炙人口的歌。這首歌的旋律很獨特，一聽就會留下印象，歌詞裡描寫嫉妒心如何毀了一個人，但是看開了以後，改以正面積極的態度面對。
