這首〈Dear Reader〉是《Midnights (3am Edition)》裡的最後一首歌，Taylor 扮演一名讀者來信專欄的作家，在歌詞裡不斷用 Dear reader 做開頭，她寫了許多建議給讀者，但緊接著又要讀者們別採納自己給出的建議，道出自己酗酒、沒家人朋友，孤零零一個人，如果自己過得這麼失敗，還能給別人人生的建議? 沒辦法，每個人都只看得到他人光鮮的表象，但你該因此相信他嗎?

Jack Antonoff 是樂團 Bleachers 的主唱，兼具歌手、詞曲創作人和音樂製作人的身分，Jack 和 Taylor 一起製作她的專輯和許多歌曲，除了這張《Midnights》之外，還包括:《1989》、《Reputation》、《Lover》以及《Folklore》，還一起完成舊專輯和歌曲的重新錄製，而 Taylor 最新發行的《The Tortured Poets Department》中也有不少 Taylor 和 Jack 合力製作的歌曲，Bleachers 最近推出自己樂團的新同名專輯《Bleachers》，我很喜歡裡面的〈Tiny Moves〉以及〈Mondern Girl〉這兩首歌，非常好聽。
