這首歌寫得太好了，有很多比喻和寓意，傳達了很多意義，我沒事就會聽一下。

歌詞裡，我覺得羅比在說自己變成「男生」後 (羅比是 transgender)，要表現得像個「男生」，要裝得很壞、不在乎、自以為是，還不能在別人面前哭。要像個臭男生一樣才是個男生? 但其實羅比很清楚自己不用變壞，而且那些臭男生都是在騙自己。

Boys Will Be Bugs 應該是改自俚語 Boys will be boys (男生就是男生: 意指男生就是會很粗魯，或是符合任何既定的男性特質)，而 bugs 用來比喻羅比自己還有他 (he/they) 和其他男生應該要表現的樣子，一隻討厭的臭蟲 (刻板的男性特質)。其他蟲蟲 (spider, beetle, bee) 建議羅比怎麼當一隻蟲 (做「男生」)，雖然羅比心裡很明白那些蟲蟲說的並不是對的，可是他還是感到很納悶，許多男生都不是在做真正的自己，而是裝成一隻蟲，自己也應該跟他們一樣嗎?

有毒的男子氣概
羅比點出了性別刻板印象的迷思，以及有毒的男子氣概 (toxic masculinity) 的隱患，除了女生常會被看不起，要表現得像個「女生」外，不夠有男子氣概的男生也會被嘲弄，男生不能軟弱、不能哭，否則就不是「男生」。但說真的，幹麻活得這麼累? 做自己就好了。你不需要落入二元性別的框架，硬是把自己定義成什麼，你可以做光譜上的任何一個顏色，或是許多不同的顏色。
