冥王星 (Pluto) 曾是九大行星之一，是距離太陽最遙遠的行星，後來被降級為矮行星，冥王星是以神話中冥王的羅馬名 (Pluto) 來命名，也就是希臘神話裡的黑帝斯，是冥界的管理者。

冥王星的意象是遙遠且黑暗的，就如同秘密是被人深藏在心底的。在歌詞裡，Pluto 似乎是用來代表敘事者心底黑暗、不為人知的一面，而那樣的一面，他能夠毫無保留地和他的愛人分享 (Seventy mil' projector, I can show you everything)。

歌詞裡，他用投影機向愛人流露感情，曾一起共度美好的時光，而未來也想和對方一起度過，然而，從後半的歌詞得知，他和他的愛人即將分離，對方可以成熟的結束這段感情，但他沒辦法接受，想要挽留那個了解他一切的人。
